Passions & Desires

Dream Sign

This is my new wall sign, so perfectly true if you want a joyful and meaningful life. Too many times I have let my fears be bigger then my dreams and my words speak louder then my actions.

I’ve had enough of being fearful—it’s so boring!

Fear keeps me from living a happy, joyful, creative and fulfilled life. The only way to have your dreams be bigger then your fears, is to challenge your fears and feel your way through each of them. Every time I challenge my fears and release them from my soul I always find myself feeling free, more joyful and I have grown more faith in my ability to feel through all fears.

Our loving passions and desires are so important for our souls growth in love and joy. It also contributes to more love and joy in our world—which our world really needs more of.

Goodbye fear – Hello Love

Let our faith be in Love!

Whispers of Love

Rest in the Lord

God never fails to answer the truly earnest and patiently waiting soul. That is one of the things God would never do. It may take a long time to bring the soul into such delicate tune with the Divine that it may be able to catch the sweet modulations of the sacred Voice, but it is certain to be heard, when the attuning is completed. Get away from the tumultuous discord without; find the way into the silent shrine of your own soul; wait-listen for Him in the sacred hush, and you will presently hear Him.

She Let Go

The poem below was shared by someone in the art journal course I am doing, which I found very touching and fitting with my last post – My Soul Reflects Upon The Autumn Leaves.

Thank you Safire for permission to share your beautiful poem,

She Let Go

She let go. Without a thought or a word, she let go.
She let go of the fear.
She let go of the judgments.
She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head.
She let go of the committee of indecision within her.
She let go of all the ‘right’ reasons.
Wholly and completely, without hesitation or worry, she just let go.
She didn’t ask anyone for advice.
She didn’t read a book on how to let go.
She didn’t search the scriptures.
She just let go.
She let go of all of the memories that held her back.
She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.
She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right.
She didn’t promise to let go.
She didn’t journal about it.
She didn’t write the projected date in her day-timer.
She made no public announcement and put no ad in the paper.
She didn’t check the weather report or read her daily horoscope.
She just let go.
She didn’t analyse whether she should let go.
She didn’t call her friends to discuss the matter.
She didn’t do a five-step Spiritual Mind Treatment.
She didn’t call the prayer line.
She didn’t utter one word.
She just let go.
No one was around when it happened.
There was no applause or congratulations.
No one thanked her or praised her.
No one noticed a thing.
Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just let go.
There was no effort.
There was no struggle.
It wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad.
It was what it was, and it is just that.
In the space of letting go, she let it all be.
A small smile came over her face.
A light breeze blew through her.
And the sun and the moon shone forevermore.

Lifeclass with Cindy Crawford – Finding Your Passion

I have just finished watching Oprah’s Lifeclass with Cindy Crawford, Cindy talks about finding your passion and the 5 questions that matter; these questions have helped Cindy to have clarity and to feel more deeply as to why she is passionate about the things she loves in her life. Cindy talks about some of her life lessons and the different stages of her journey, which has been about exploring, asking questions and learning more about what her passions are.

People in the audience had opportunities to ask questions and also to express their wisdom, it seems that the biggest thing that gets in the way of following our passions are: fear, needing approval from others, what if I make the wrong choice (which is also fear), unworthiness and not allowing ourselves to explore or experiment with what we are passionate about.

I enjoyed listening to Cindy share her knowledge and what has worked for her on her journey in life. This Lifeclass goes for 49 minutes and is available to watch now on demand, I’m not sure how long it will be available to watch; for those that are interested.
